Hey, I wanted to update you on some of what's going on in the New Sweden world.
We have a cool new music player (on the right) that allows you to stream and purchase our new album, "the Mountain". So you should probably be checking that out while you're reading this. When using the music player on the right ~~> you might notice some cool features - not only can you stream and purchase the album (including the exclusive digital track, Mama), you can share the player with your friends on Facebook! You can also pop the player off the screen so you can listen while you surf. One more cool thing about this new music player is that we are offering a free song in exchange for your email address. We like to barter over here in the NS camp - simply click on the words "Free Song" and submit your email address. It's like magic! "The Highest Road" will appear in your inbox......
Alright... First off, in the upcoming show department New Sweden will be opening for James McMurtry at the World Cafe Live in Philadelphia, PPA this Tuesday, October 18th. This is going to be a great show for all you XPN listeners out there. You know who you are. Mr. McMurtry grew up on a steady diet of Johnny Cash and Roy Acuff records and has worked with John Mellencamp. Stephen King thinks he's "the truest, fiercest songwriter of his generation". Yeah... Second, New Sweden will be performing our first show in Kennett Square, PA at the Kennett Flash Saturday, October 22nd with the Splashing Pearls. The Flash is a great little room with an even better sound system. In other words, if you are into a more intimate listening experience this is the place for you. Ok... Last but DEFINITELY not least, NS is super excited to announce that we are opening up for KEVIN DEVINE!
This is one of William's favorite artists so be on the look out for some extra "hootenanny" from him. This show is going down in Newark, DE on the 4th of November. This is a Take the Mic event. <~ if you haven't gotten it by now click the link... Also featured is Matt Pless check him out!
