Our hearts go out to the millions of individuals affected by Hurricane Sandy this past month. I personally have been overwhelmed by the amount of good natured individuals out there doing their parts and lending time, supplies, and helping to re-build damaged communities physically and emotionally. That being said, we would like to announce that New Sweden will be donating proceeds from our next two shows to the American Red Cross, Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund - so please, come out and help support the cause! Of course, you can always make additional contributions directly through the Red Cross HERE.

While so much more can be done to help those affected by the hurricane and other natural disasters all over the world, we've started to notice a great need for outreach right in our own community of Wilmington, Delaware and its surrounding cities. Because of this, New Sweden will be planning a few volunteer projects over the next few months. Stay tuned for updates and shared stories on our latest excursions to help keep this supportive momentum going, even after the rush of hurricane relief has passed. If you're interested in personally joining our efforts, or would like to recommend a cause, send an email to info@newswedenmusic.com - we'd love the feedback and extra helping hands!

So what shows are going towards relief efforts? Well, that'd be Wilmo Rock Circus - November 24th at World Cafe Live at The Queen and November 30th at Milkboy Ardmore w/ Kwesi Kankam, Quincy Mumford and the Reason Why and Brittany Ann. We've got a great string of shows coming up, but we really can't stress how the Wilmo Rock Circus just may be the best $15 you've ever spent. Gable Music Ventures always works hard to bring fantastic acts together and this show is certainly no exception, with TWENTY TWO of the region's BEST all under one roof at the beautiful Queen Theater. The buzz for this show is HUGE, so we really, really suggest you buy your tickets in advance.

See you there-
